The I is the solo act of Marco I. Benevento, lead singer of The Foreshadowing, How like a winter and Kamlath. It’s an unconventional project with no specific album releases and no permanent lineup.
Instead, individual songs and videoclips are periodically released. From time to time, guest musicians and singers will be featured.

The I is a journey, no one knows where it will lead or where it will end.

After all, that’s the reason why it started.

Initially trained as a pianist, Marco I. Benevento started his musical career in the mid-1990's at the age of 16 playing keyboards in a rock band and composing his first soundtracks for short films.
From the year 2000 onwards he has released albums with bands The Foreshadowing, How Like a Winter and Kamlath and has featured in many other musical projects. He has toured Europe and the United States and has shared the stage with most of the main metal bands from around the world and has composed soundtracks for feature films and documentaries.
Today Marco lives in Rome where besides continuing to work as musician, he also works as a sound designer and actor.
